Keyboard Shortcuts

OverView

The EZReader Guides application documents the steps needed to accomplish common tasks within EZReader. Several tasks are already included in Guides and users can create and edit new guides.

Guides Main Screen

The list of Guides is on the left. The right side contains the content of the selected Guide.

Save must be pressed for each Guide that is changed.

The toolbar icons perform the following functions:

Row 1 Icons

Exit - exit the game
Layout - adjust list and content widths
Play - speak the guide
New - create a new guide
Copy - copy the guide to the clipboard
Delete - remove the guide
Save - save changes made to the guide
Print - print the guide
Menu - display next row of icons

Row 2 Icons

Exit - exit the application
Play - Start speaking text at cursor
Louder - Increase volume
Softer - Decrease volume
Normal - Cycle through 3 speaking speeds
Male - Toggle between male and female voices
Menu (dots) - cycle through the available rows of icons

Row 3 Icons

Exit - exit the application
OSK - Display On-Screen Keyboard
Larger - increase font size
Smaller - decrease font size
Bold - toggle bold font attribute
Font - cycle through 3 default fonts
Color - cycle through 4 default color pairs
Menu - display next row of icons

Row 4 Icons

Exit - exit the application
Case - toggle upper case
Under - underline current line
Space - wide spacing (between letters)
Line - vertical spacing (between rows)
Shade - use shade line formatting
Menu - display next row of icons

Keyboard Shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts are available within all EZReader applications by pressing F1 or right-clicking on the Exit button.
